Media is a means of expression so the work of Media is to let the individual express their views. Media is used to spread the latest change so the society come to know about the changes and try to follow the going on or current trends. This way Media make the society.

Media operates the way that it functions to Public awareness and thus helps the society as in the advertisement of malaria that is social responsibility or the awareness about the Polio in Radio or T.V aware the society.

To get the justice, Media can be the powerful device. If something is going on wrong in the society and people use Media, so they can get justice gathering all the people as in the Delhi gang rape case. Whole nation was there with the victim’s family. So the Media functioned well.

Media is useful to get the public opinion. So this way it can make the society. As the common men can have their own opinions and they can share it using the media.

Media Mar the society in following ways:

Media focus on publicity as well. But here sometimes, the wrong messages are conveyed as Beauty = fairness so this way media medium need to control on spreading this kind of wrong messages. This may Mar the society

Media can spread the rumors. There can be selfish use of Media. There can be blackmailing as well. The Money minded publicity harm the society. Misguiding over an issue is possible with the use of media. Media creates the emotionless society because of ruthless news every day. Propaganda for politics is also there. Media hypnotizes the public to join some harmful moment also. Sometimes media functions is as the time pass only.

Media also has its own positive points as well points needed to improve. The main function of media is to educate, to Entertain, to inform. Media suppose to function in such a way that it makes the society by integrity and common good. The society does get affected by Mass media as various types of mass media play its role. For an example, if something is going on in the society, the work of mass media is to let that truth reach to the masses. If the Mass media works with the transparency, it can make the society by doing its work. At the same time, if mass media function with prejudices, it can mar the society with its bias behavior.
